Before the treatment
What you need to do :
- Don’t hang out the washing
- Clean up before treatment both inside and outside
- Mow the lawns
- Limit your garbage outside
- The more things away from the wall inside the better the barrier.
- Keep windows and doors closed until the spray dries.
The Day of the treatment

- Roof void (accessed through the man hole, usually inside the house)

After the Treatment
Expectation
6 week flush out period
What you may see
- Cockroaches should be eradicated within 6 weeks.
- An increase in activity is common for the first couple of weeks
- If your treatment is conducted annually, you will see pests dying all year round
- Pests may be moving slower
- Follow the instructions as provided to you by our pest control technicians

- Large Cockroaches :- Australian, American Cockroaches
- Webbing spiders
- Red back spiders

- Wasp nests
What areas should be treated during a General Treatment?
Your technician will treat the following areas:
Internal:
Your technician will conduct an internal barrier spray which is applied to the skirting boards inside the house. A Dust may also be applied to any cracks and crevices within the house.
External:
Your technician will apply a spray to the following areas.
- Garage
- Sheds
- Fence lines
- Pathways
- Windows
- Gutters
- Fascia’s
Roof:
A fine dust or powder is applied to the roof void with the aid of a dust gun. Your technician will use a ladder to gain access to the roof cavity accessed through the man hole, usually inside the house, however the man hole may also be in the garage or external laundry.
Sub Floor:
A fine dust or powder will be applied into the area under the house.
How Does the Treatment Work?
The spray that is used for our general treatment will cover you for:
- Large Cockroaches :- Australian, American Cockroaches
- Webbing spiders
- Red back spiders
- Carpet beetles
- Silverfish
- crickets
- Wasp nests
The Spray and dusting method which is used for our general treatment not only resolves current pest issues but will also provide our customers with a long-term protection as a residual protection is formed.
Please note that treated wasp nests may not be removed, often by leaving the wasp nest in place it acts as a deterrent from wasps rebuilding nests next to the old nests. You can safely remove the wasp nest 10 days after it has been treated by knocking it down with a broom
How Should I prepare my house for pest control?
Internally
- Clean up internally & externally
- The more things away from the wall inside the better the barrier
- Keep windows and doors closed until the spray dries
- Limit the clutter within the house
- Limit paper goods and throw out cardboard boxes.
Externally
- Don’t hang the washing out
- Mow the lawns
- Limit garbage outside
- Clean up the backyard area
- Pack away any kids or pet toys.
What to Expect After A General Spray
Pests will be flushed out and this flush out period can last up to 6 weeks.
- Cockroaches should be eradicated within 6 weeks.
- An increase in activity is common for the first couple of weeks
- If your treatment is conducted annually, you will see pests dying all year round
- Pests may be moving slower
- Follow the instructions as provided to you by our pest control technicians
PNP Pest Control Recommends:
- All deep cleaning including carpet cleaning should be completed before the pest control treatment
- If you are moving into a new property it is best to have the pest control completed after the cleaning has been completed & before you move in.
- Any painting should be completed before the pest control treatment
- General Pest treatments should be conducted annually or 6 monthly for problem areas
- Repair any leaking plumbing or appliances as they will invite cockroaches to your property
